The bike route takes you past the mangrove forest and your guide will tell you about the ecological importance of this fascinating plant and the flora and fauna of the wetlands. Then it’s on to the Puerto Morelos pier and a stop to cool off with an ice cream or fresh fruit. Learn about the history of our pueblito and the famous leaning lighthouse or faro and get a group photo on the dock.
On the way back to the resort, the guide will take you past the market and the craft shops and there’s time to stop if you would like to take a look.
The route is 8.7 kilometers and activity center staff will tell you how long it will take and how many calories you’ll burn off as you enjoy the ride. Bikes come with helmets, jackets, bottled water and a basket. This activity is not for children under the age of 12. Sign up at the Activity Center.
