This Mexican wine is an intense deep red color with the fragrance of blackberries and cranberries and subtle notes of damp earth. It is stored for 13 months in French oak barrels which gives it a hint of vanilla. A dry full-bodied wine with a finish that evokes coffee and chocolate, and a good palate, it is the perfect pairing for two Flor de Canela dishes: the short rib and duck in manchamanteles sauce. Why not try it during Mexican Independence month?
