On Saturday March 30 at 8:30 p.m., Grand Residences will be participating in Earth Hour, the global campaign organized by WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature or World Wildlife Fund) to draw attention to the accelerating effects of climate change and biodiversity loss and the urgent need to join forces to protect our planet.

Guests are invited to join in the Earth Hour activities organized during the day. They will include arts and crafts, tree planting and the iguana nature walk to enjoy with your children. Finally at 8:30 p.m., non-essential lights will be turned off around the resort for one hour and we hope that guests will join us by dimming the lights in their suites.

In 2018, 188 countries took part in Earth Hour and the lights on close to 18,000 of the world’s most famous landmarks were dimmed. Millions of people came together to take action, making pledges to protect the environment, whether at home, in the workplace or in their communities.
