We are delighted to announce that El Faro Grill has made it into the prestigious Wine Spectator list of top restaurants for 2017.
Wine Spectator magazine Restaurant Awards honor restaurants with outstanding wine lists that offer carefully chosen wine selections to go with their cuisine and with something to appeal to all discerning wine lovers. This year, the Wine Spectator list showcases restaurants from every state in the United States and 75 countries around the world for their passion for wine. All award winners will feature in the August edition of the magazine.
El Faro received the Award of Excellence for its extensive wine list https://restaurants.winespectator.com/restaurant/3855/el-faro-grill. Available for guests to browse on a tablet, it features 200 wine selections from some of the finest vineyards in France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, California, Chile and Argentina and a wine cellar of 2,000 bottles. Wine Spectator critics judged its particular strengths to be Mexico, Burgundy and Bordeaux.
Wine lovers will find classic favorites and wines from small, family-owned vineyards in up-and-coming wine regions such as Valle de Guadalupe in Baja California that are forging a name for themselves.
El Faro Sommelier Javier Moreno Cortez is on hand to help you choose wines that will be the perfect pairing for all your menu selections. Whether you pick a fragrant white wine, a full-bodied red or a bottle of champagne to accompany a dish prepared by award-winning chef Yann Cozic, it will be a marriage made in heaven.
