Sea turtle nesting season is in full swing in the Mexican Caribbean and at Grand Residences. There are already five nests in the corral that are being watched over by our tireless sea turtle guardians, the resort security team. Three of the nests contain loggerhead turtle eggs and the others are green turtle nests. The first turtle came ashore to nest on May 22 and we hope that she will be followed by many more this summer.

The tally of nests to date at The Royal Sands, The Royal Caribbean and The Royal Islander in Cancun stands at 47 and there have been two turtles reported at The Royal Haciendas in the Riviera Maya.

Stay posted for more turtle news this summer in this newsletter and on the Royal Resorts blog at
