Starters include duck foie gras with green bean, spinach, fig and nut salad, classic onion or vichyssoise soup or tomato and goat cheese tart.
When you are ready for the main course, fish choices range from Mediterranean-style shrimp with ratatouille, basil pistou and herb salad to salmon with sautéed spinach and bearnaise sauce. Meat lovers will enjoy the tender beef fillet in green peppercorn sauce with comte cheese potatoes and the ribeye with maître d’hôtel butter and pommes frites. Herb-crusted lamb fillet is served with macaire potato cakes and thyme-infused gravy and there’s a touch of continental fusion as France meets the Yucatan in a pork casserole with beans, longaniza sausage from Valladolid and plum sauce.
For a heavenly finish to a delicious meal, how about smooth chocolate crème brûlée. Other choices include the cream-filled choux pastry perfection of a gateau St. Honoré, Black Forest gateau or pear Belle Hélene.
