Grand Dining Moments: a world of seafood
A spread of seafood cooked in a variety of ways is a delightful Mexican Caribbean dining experience. The freshest lobster, locally sourced fish, Pacific shrimp, scallops and more are cooked to Mexican and Mediterranean recipes. Here are some seafood dishes you might want to try during your stay at Grand Residences.
Shrimp tacos and an unbeatable view
The sea air, the sun and the sound of the waves will soon make you hungry and Heaven Beach Bar is the place to enjoy fresh seafood. You’ll want to start with some Baja-style fish or shrimp tacos with pico de gallo or the mixed seafood ceviche, a vibrant combination of fish, shrimp, clams, calamari and octopus. Other choices range from Nikkei-style tuna tostadas to the salmon duo sashimi, aguachile and the grilled catch of the day.
El Faro Grill
More mouthwatering seafood lunch options await you in El Faro Grill. For starters try the ceviche or an Acapulco-style shrimp cocktail. A flavorful seaman’s baguette filled with stewed shrimp, Baja-style shrimp tacos and linguine tutto mare seafood pasta are favorites. For a fusion of flavors try the marinated chipotle salmon tacos. The catch of the day is served marinated and grilled talla style, which is an Acapulco specialty, and the seafood grill includes calamari, fish, scallops and shrimp cooked with garlic, Cajun spices, lemon and paprika.
Seafood choices for dinner in El Faro range from Peruvian-style ceviche, crab cakes and mussel casserole as a starter. As an alternative, order classic clam chowder served in a bread bowl.
To follow, you can order the catch of the day, grouper fillet with a Thai sauce, almond-crusted salmon, Mediterranean harra shrimp and Caribbean lobster when it is in season.
In Flor de Canela, be sure to try two very popular Mexican seafood dishes: glazed grilled octopus tacos and tikinxic or Mayan-style fish, which is marinated in an achiote (annatto) spice rub and Seville orange juice and grilled.
