Beach Reads

Are you always on the lookout for beach books when you come down to Grand Residences? Then you’ll know all about Alma Libre, the iconic bookstore that has been supplying new and secondhand books for more than 25 years. Changes are afoot and it is good news. It has moved to larger premises – three times the size of the original store – on the street where the church is located just two lots south of the Oxxo store and on the way to Chedraui.

With so much more space at the new Alma Libre, the owners are hoping to offer an even larger selection of beach reads and run classes and other cultural activities. They are now open daily in the new store from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In the meantime, if you are looking for a good book for the beach, Swing Time by Zadie Smith might fit the bill. It is the story of two girls growing up in London and the paths they follow in adulthood.
