A Week of Summer Fun
We have a fun-packed activity program in store for you and your family this summer with keep-fit, sports, games and crafts all on the menu. Check out some of the daytime activities for adults, teens and kids and don’t miss family time in the evening such as the Beach Bonfire, Taco Tuesday and the Sunday BBQ.
Tennis and yoga to cooking and mixology classes
Adults can start the day with a tennis clinic with the pro to fine-tune their game or yoga on the terrace at 8 a.m. There is more exercise at 9 a.m. with Aquatic workouts, Latin dance classes and stretching or pilates on different days during the week.
Hop on your bike at 10 a.m. for the popular Bike Trip into Puerto Morelos, it’s available Monday to Friday and reservations are required. At the weekend, bring out your creative side with Saturday art therapy or enjoy a Sunday morning game of badminton.
At 12 p.m., work out in the pool with aqua aerobics and dumbbells, aqua Zumba or aqua jogger. Aqua aerobics and Aqua Zumba are repeated at 1 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday if you missed them. Also at 12 p.m., book your spot for the cooking class on Wednesdays or the Mixology class on Fridays.
Get ready for bingo at 2 p.m., the family contest, a jenga tournament or the beanbag toss. Meet the Activity team on the pool deck at 3 p.m. for more fun. Throw those horseshoes, play table tennis, pool volleyball or water polo, enjoy art therapy, a quiz or a repeat session of bingo.
At 4 p.m., play blackjack or Texas hold’em, make your own dreamcatchers on Wednesdays and compete in the table tennis tournament on Saturday.
Fun for teens
Activities for teens start at 9 a.m. with cross training, cornhole, jogging on the beach, a dance class, a rally, all the fun of Twister and a croquet tournament on different days during the week.
At 10 a.m., there’s pool basketball, touch football, water polo, badminton, beach soccer, horseshoes and giant jenga.
Crafts come to the fore at 12 p.m. with dreamcatchers, bracelet and necklace making, keychains, mandala painting and origami. There’s also an Uno tournament on Wednesday.
Afternoon activities are at 3 p.m. and range from a music quiz and video games to air hockey and table tennis tournaments.
Kids Club activities
The little ones will love the summer activities planned for them. The fun starts at 9:30 a.m. with art, stretching and dance classes, Spanish lessons, board games and a drawing contest.
At 10 a.m. it’s time for the beach with sand sculptures, beach soccer, an obstacle course, scavenger hunt, bowling and croquet.
Pool time follows at 11 a.m. with water volleyball, swimming races, water polo, a water balloon fight and towel volleyball.
At 12 p.m., it’s time for more crafts like making pipe cleaner animals, animal masks, candy bags and picture frames.
After lunch, at 2 p.m., bracelet making and keychains, t-shirt painting and face painting will keep children entertained. There’s more fun at 3 p.m. with henna tattoos, a Just Dance tournament, tea time, musical chairs, a piñata party and movie time.
The afternoon wouldn’t be complete without the hula hoop at 4 p.m., Mexican lottery, Jenga, air hockey, video games and Lego.
