Monday night is Italian night

Italy comes to El Faro Grill on Monday night with all the flavors of sun-splashed Mediterranean shores and the Tuscan hills, classic dishes from Rome, Florence, Venice, Milan, and Naples of course.

Start with a selection of antipasti ranging from beef and octopus carpaccio to Calabrese salami, bruschettas, caponata and ricotta and artichoke dip among others.

Pasta fans will love the fettuccine carbonara and Rome’s famous cacio e pepe spaghetti. Try the clam risotto and the gorgonzola, pear and nut ravioli, a classic lasagna or frutti di mare capellini. Order the osso bucco, slow cooked to the traditional Milan recipe, chicken a la Sorrentina or grilled fish the way it is prepared on the island of Capri, among others.

There’s plenty for pizza lovers too, a traditional margarita pizza or prosciutto and arugula with onion compote, gorgonzola and pear, goat cheese and shrimp drizzled with pesto, and a true Mexico-Italian fusion, skirt steak and bell peppers sprinkled with chili flakes for a touch of heat.

Don’t miss the tempting array of desserts, choices include creamy tiramisu and panna cotta, semi freddo, fruits of the forest with balsamic vinegar reduction and gelatos.

Start the evening with a martini or a glass of prosecco. When you are ready to order, the Sommelier is on hand to recommend Italian wines that will be the perfect pairings for your menu choices.
