Meet the Campbell Worobec family who took time to talk to us during their recent stay. They were here for their third vacation in their home away from home, grandparents David and Marilyn, parents Kimberley and Neil, Isobel aged four and nine-month-old Ailsa and they love it.
Kimberley was a teenager when her parents first purchased a week at The Royal Mayan 23 years ago. They went on to purchase weeks at The Royal Caribbean, The Royal Islander, The Royal Sands and The Royal Haciendas. The decision to purchase at Grand Residences was one that she and her husband made with her parents and they are joint owners of their weeks. Kimberley says, “It is the perfect place for a relaxing stay with the whole family. We spend time on the beach with both my children and a lot of time at the Kids Club with my eldest daughter. She loves the girls that work there and enjoys the craft and water activities and the treasure hunt. Like any small child, she loves candy!
“We love the ambiance and the people and this feeling is reinforced with every return visit,” Kimberley says. “Grand Residences is a very family-oriented place, it’s fun for the whole family and there’s something for all ages.”
“The staff look after us very well here and do an excellent job. From the Kids Club staff to the waiters, they are all amazing,” she adds. “In the restaurants, they are very attentive, Isobel’s favorite meal this time is hamburgers but one night she had pasta for a change. They served her spaghetti noodles instead of penne, which she prefers, but immediately brought a dish of freshly cooked penne when they realized. They really look after her and she always seems to get her ice cream even when Mom and Dad say no. The other night we were deciding whether to order a dessert or not and the waiter suddenly appeared with a bowl of ice cream for her, she had ordered already!
“Of course we experienced the hallmark Royal Resorts service and pampering at the other properties, but we really appreciate the additional touches of luxury at Grand Residences, such as the pool services and the refreshing fruit popsicles. We love our time here and enjoy trying the different activities. This time my Mom and I signed up for the cooking class. We learned about some of the dishes on the menu with Chef Yann, who is amazing.”
Kimberley’s father David Worobec added, “It is just beautiful here and the staff are incredible. They go out of their way to make our vacation truly special, we are spoilt. My message to my fellow owners is to come down and enjoy it, spend as much time as you can here.”
