Every Picture Tells a Story

Look around you, you may be basking in the warm Caribbean sun under a palm tree but you’ll still see all the trappings of Christmas and smiling people ready to celebrate the season together with alegria or joy. Nochebuenas or poinsettias, the festive plant that Mexico gave to the world, are everywhere you look. There are nacimientos or Nativity scenes in all shapes and sizes and glittering traditional Mexican tree decorations in clay, wood, tin and glass. Piñatas for the posadas hang outside stores and trees twinkle with lights.
