The turtle nesting season is over at Grand Residences and the final tally of nests protected at the resort is 69 and 4,810 hatchlings released to date. With seven nests still to hatch, the number of baby turtles for 2015 will top the 5,000 mark.
In Cancun, the number of nests in the nurseries at The Royal Sands and The Royal Caribbean stands at 522 with 60,699 eggs protected. By September 25, 42,193 babies had already been set free and there were still thousands of eggs to hatch.
