Chef Yann Cozic has prepared some mouthwatering seasonal treats for the owners that will be joining us for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year.
A traditional buffet will be served in El Faro Grill for Thanksgiving. In addition to succulent roast turkey and all the trimmings, diners can also look forward to prime rib, roast pork, fresh Caribbean lobster and shrimp and an array of tempting desserts.
For those who wish to dine in their residence or on the terrace, a roast turkey package for six people will be available through Room Service (orders must be placed the day before, by 12 noon at the latest).
Sit down to a sumptuous dinner on Christmas Eve or Nochebuena as it is called here in Mexico. The set menu includes a foie gras and asparagus amuse-bouche, fresh crab or salmon appetizers, butternut squash soup and Roquefort and nut ravioli. The main courses are beef fillet in black truffle sauce or roast halibut, fennel and mussels in saffron sauce and a sublime chestnut and vanilla Yule log will be served for dessert.
Christmas Day in paradise, enjoy a leisurely brunch with roast turkey, lobster, prime rib, salmon, Biscayan-style bacalao or salt cod, Eggs Benedict and much more. There are two sittings: the early one has breakfast dishes and the second, from 11:30 to 3:30 is for a hearty lunch.
Ring in the New Year in style at El Faro Grill with another tempting menu from Chef Yann. A superbly flavored amuse-bouche of oysters, caviar and sea urchin is followed by foie gras with black cherry chutney and artichoke, scallop and truffle soup. Choose between chateaubriand and sole meunière for your main course and the meal draws to a close with a heavenly chocolate and mandarin orange dessert.
The evening includes mood music, a DJ, festive lighting and décor, party hats, masks, whistles and streamers. The mariachis will take center stage to ring in 2016 at midnight with a serenade, followed by music and dancing.
The bill of festive fare concludes on New Year’s Day with Brunch. The splendid spread has cold cuts and cheeses, quiche Lorraine, smoked salmon, oysters, salads and a range of hot dishes. Try the prime rib, suckling pig and slow-roasted lamb, a coconut chicken curry or grouper fish with a lobster crust and save space for dessert.
