Turtle season is underway at Grand Residences and the July 15 tally of nests was 33. We hope that many more turtles will come ashore to lay their eggs in the weeks and months to come.

At the Cancun resorts, as of July 15, there were 77 nests with 9,315 eggs at The Royal Sands and 141 nests at The Royal Caribbean and The Royal Islander with 16,864 eggs. All the turtles that have nested to date at Grand Residences and Royal Resorts have been green turtles, tortuga blanca or verde in Spanish, with the exception of five loggerhead turtle nests or caguama and two hawksbills or carey.
