David Sterling, a chef from the United States who lives in Merida has added the prestigious James Beard Foundation award for food writing to the Art of Eating prize for Best Food Book of the Year he won earlier this year for Yucatan: Recipes from a Culinary Expedition (University of Texas Press).
The founder of Los Dos Cooking School in Merida, Sterling has studied Yucatecan cuisine and culture for many years.
